Job Description:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
5+ years of experience as a software engineer
5+ years of experience managing team of software engineers including identifying, hiring and developing top talent

You will manage a diverse team of front end and back end SDEs, SDET and User experience designer, collaborate with experts and autonomously drive innovation while remotely reporting into Seattle based management.
The Item Data Quality (IDQ) group within Company’s search and discovery organization strives to make the world’s best product catalog even better. An information-rich and accurate product catalog is a critical strategic asset for Company. It powers unrivaled product discovery, informs customer buying decisions, offers a large selection and positions Company as the first stop for product discovery. As a leader of this new team you will conceive and deliver software solutions that leverage collective human intelligence to measure and improve the quality of our product catalog and influence the way millions of our customers discover and buy our products worldwide.

User experience: Techniques to engage internal and external customers on variety of platforms, including smartphones and tablets, with a solid understanding of user behavior at various touch points on the Company platform.
Statistics: Optimal techniques to sample the massive product catalog for humans to audit different dimensions of data quality issues and consolidating the results.
Scalability: Design and think at scale. Company’s product catalog has billions of records with a mind boggling variety of products and millions of customers in multiple countries. Deliver solutions that scale for large data sets and are generic enough to apply to the variety in the catalog.
Responsibilities :
Report to remote manager based in Seattle and manage a local team with high level of autonomy and independence.
Lead a nimble team of software engineers to architect, develop, test and deploy high quality software solutions with persistent customer focus within an Agile/Scrum environment.
Manage departmental resources: hiring, mentoring, career management and maintaining a high performing team.
Manage and execute against project plans and delivery commitments.
Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.
Build and maintain inter team relationships on your team’s behalf. Be the evangelist and point of contact for your team.
Develop the long-term strategy for your programs and translate that into an achievable road map.
