One of our client looking for the below mentioned position.
Position: Business Development - Manager/Senior Manager
Set up a go-to-market process for a new service offering with specific strategies (geographies, vertical markets and customer profiles).
Complete responsibility for set up of the process, intake of the first few customers and total responsibility for first 2 years revenues from this service offering.
Success will be defined by metrics that measure if the service offering has firmly been placed on a high growth trajectory.
Make corrections to the service offering and interface with Delivery as required based on market feedback.
Travel required as per business need.
8-10 years of experience in developing business opportunities and markets. Experienced candidates can be either of:
a) Program Managers with 8-10 years’ experience who have been in business facing roles in a hands-on manner and implementing entry strategies for new service offerings.
b) BDM with 8-10 years of experience with at least 2-3 years of direct sales experience.
Good exposure to Marketing and Program Management required.
Should have been carrying targets of at least 2 Mil USD per year.
Exposure to global markets such as Germany or US is preferred.
Understanding of the e-Commerce phenomenon essential.
Passion for growing young companies, highly energetic and innovative with strong abilities to work in teams.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to position value / price.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Based on an overall strategic direction, set out the business development plan.
Liaise as required with Geo sales Director.
Generate leads, set up appointments, travel and meet customers and close deals.
Work in a solo role and help meet team objectives.
There may be the need to work with external agencies.
Position reports: Vice President - Retail Practice
Interview process: Initial interview and shortlist, Case presentation by the candidate to a panel, Final discussion with final shortlisted candidates and HR round.
