Job Description:
10-13 years of Software Development Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering in Computer Science/ Electronics or equivalent
Experience in Java/J2EE and other related technologies.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills of complex systems.
Knowledge of SDLC
Ability to work independently as well within the team
Strong knowledge of RDBMS design and concepts.
Experience in building/designing highly scalable products on various platforms (Linux / Windows)
Extensive Experience in Software design and architecture of Enterprise systems
Extensive Experience working in telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge
Experience in performance tuning heavy volume applications
Experience/ Knowledge of GSM/ roaming implementations
Experience working with teams in diverse geographic locations
Cross functional group co-ordination experience like QA, Operations, Release Engineering etc.
Strong knowledge in deriving statistical and benchmarking software products.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Extensive experience in software architecture/design patterns and data structures. Extensive Experience working with third party vendor tools (e.g. monitoring, scalability, performance tuning)
Highly motivated and passionate to working/evaluating new technologies to improve the existing products
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Define Solution architecture that meets functional/ performance/ user experience requirements; derive software modules with the integration interfaces
Task break-down and associated Level of Effort for deliverables
RFPs – Define Technical sections of RFPs meeting customers’ expectations that include capacity assessments, scalability, high availability assessments in addition to the functional requirements
Prototyping and Proof-of-concepts related to demonstration of new technology/ concept
Co-ordination with Quality Assurance team for Verification and Validation
Co-ordination with Product/ Program/ Operations Teams to support software releases
Co-ordination with Customer support/ Customer(s) in supporting the resolution of customer issues
